Yesterday we heard interesting glimpses of Solomon's international relations and commerce. Notably, the queen of Sheba came to listen to Solomon's wisdom and to ask questions of him.

It is likely that the climax of the festival mentioned in today's chapter was the day in the Festival of Shelters where water was poured out before the Lord. Jesus stood up and shouted out to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”
